Birds on the Beach

Birds bird birds blinding blustering bludgeoning through the waves

A melody of sadness pervades and irks its way through the void

Skipping shells through the sand grains

I see the circling above

A whimpering roar washes over me

Incessant wind

I reach out to the sun and gaze upon myself within

They can’t shake me from this cliff

Or laying on the hot sand, cooled below but seared above

I cry or pretend to and nothing comes out

It’s all fine they say or was it I said?

Figures move down the shoreline

For this slice is just a slice

The entirety is a farce

And nothing seems so bad
