I don’t know

I don’t know I don’t know I say
This is for Seth at Chino Latino
He gave me a dollar folded into a boot
And then he pulled me close
And kissed me on the cheek

I went over afterwards to say hi
He said BYE

I don’t know I don’t know  So I try harder
And I build myself up for the inevitable
Don’t go in thinking you’ve been beat
And be discreet
But we all say we shouldn’t be
self-defeating
But what if its true?

I don’t know I don’t know
I have a strong will
But not in the beauty expected by society
Can I be given some reprieve?

I don’t know I don’t know
Will I last long, will my mental picture be broken
Is this temporary pain
Will I find someone the same
What if I don’t find it on the West Coast

Someone to be my victory
